Just weeks after adding Vietnam to its GB Express service, Ellerman City Liners is further extending its South East Asia network with the addition of a feeder service to/from Sihanoukville, Cambodia – a major terminal connecting the Cambodian capital Phnom Penh. The service will run multiple transits each week between Sihanoukville and the Gemalink Terminal, in Cai Mep, Vietnam.

Ellerman City Liners Commercial Director Peter Andrews commented: “This is a natural development of the Ellerman offer in the region, opening up our GB Express service to the Cambodian market. The feeder’s regular transits will ensure maximum convenience for our customers.”

Despite the disruption to global trade over the last two years, Sihanoukville Autonomous Port (PAS) experienced a 14.11% year-on-year increase in containerised seafreight in 2021 (14.58% up on 2019’s pre-pandemic figure). This growth has been driven by strong exports of textiles and consumer goods in particular.
