Ellerman City Liners has relaunched its iPEX 2 service with an updated Gdynia-Hull-Gdynia rotation, strengthening direct shortsea connectivity between Poland and the UK. 

It also integrates rapid transshipment options into Portugal, enabling flexible cargo flows across Europe and accommodating tailored multimodal solutions. 

The Port of Hull offers closer proximity to major logistics hubs across the North of England and the Midlands, including Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, Doncaster, Nottingham, and Birmingham. This improved inland reach helps shorten road legs, lower domestic transport costs, and support more efficient end‑to‑end supply chain strategies for UK importers.  

For Polish exporters, shorter UK inland haulage reduces total transit time and overall logistics cost and enables earlier availability of goods for regional distribution.

Shortsea via iPEX 2 provides a notable environmental advantage, with the potential to cut CO₂ emissions by more than 50 percent compared with road‑based alternatives.
