Ellerman City Liners is proud to announce the launch of a new inland rail connection between Łódź and Gdynia, enhancing the reach and efficiency of our iPEX Polish Shortsea service. Developed in close partnership with Spedcont and Bahnoperator, this new route marks a significant milestone in our intermodal expansion across Poland and Northern Europe.

Strategic Connectivity Supporting UK Shortsea Trade

The newly operational rail link connects Spedcont’s inland terminal in Łódź directly with Gdynia Container Terminal (GCT) – providing a seamless inland extension to our ocean service and creating a fully integrated supply chain solution. The service is already active and performing on schedule.

This inland corridor is especially valuable for short sea shipments to and from the United Kingdom, enabling faster turnaround times, increased predictability, and enhanced routing flexibility.

Official Launch: June 25, 2025

The service officially launched on June 25th, 2025, and represents a step change in how we connect cargo moving inland across Poland with global markets. Built on close operational cooperation and shared commitment between Ellerman City Liners, Spedcont, and Bahnoperator, the project reflects a unified focus on customer value, innovation, and environmental responsibility.
